Peak Racks are made by people who love their bikes. So, we design our racks with two things in mind: the riders who use them and the places they’re installed. Our patented features make bike parking quick and simple while taking good care of the bikes. These same features make it easy to park lots of bikes without wasting space.
The Locking Bar
The locking bar is precisely located so that the bicycle wheel, the frame, and the locking bar meet for easy and secure locking. Lock with ease—no more having to bend over or lean into tight spaces. The locking bar is conveniently located and allows for quick, easy locking with a small diameter U-lock or cable lock. The ingenious locking system allows for simultaneous locking of wheel and frame with small diameter lock.
Wheel Support
The well-designed wheel holder safely and securely supports a front or rear tire of any type of bicycle without jeopardizing wheel structure. The wheel holder contacts and supports the tire in three places which encompass one-half of the wheel’s circumference and keeps the frame from contacting the rack, eliminating any risk of damage, even to rear derailleurs.
Whether we’re designing and building your Public racks, or you’re assembling your BYO racks at home, you’ll get the layout and configuration that fits your space and the bikes that park there. Bikes on one side or both. Straight or angled racks. Long narrow rows or compact blocks of bikes. Because when your bikes fit right, your space works right.
Peak Racks BYO racks don’t get bolted down. Once you’ve built them, they can be moved and reconfigured as your space and needs change. But when they’re in place, the non-slip pads help them stay there.
Eliminate frustrating handlebar tangles and fit more bikes in less space. Alternating the height of our wheel slots makes it easier to get bikes in and out comfortably and maximizes the space in your parking area. This feature is found on Peak Racks Public racks and is available for the Peak Racks BYO home model as well.
Peak Racks Public racks are self-standing, surface mount racks. They can stand alone or be bolted down with standard easy to install fasteners, or special tamper-proof fasteners. You can easily add racks or reconfigure your bicycle parking areas at any time.
The only thing “off shore” about our manufacturing location is the breeze that enhances some of our beautiful local waves. Peak Racks are designed and built on California’s Central Coast, using quality recycled domestic steel and premium powder coats for long-lasting quality. America is where we ride and it’s where we live, so it’s where we make our racks. That lets us make sure every rack meets our quality standards and its production supports our community.
We are conscious of our carbon footprint. We do things like reduce fuel use with bulk shipping of commercial products and bike to work every day. We use 95% recycled domestic steel, and recycle all scrap metal. Our racks conserve valuable resources by lasting a really, really, long time. Buy them once, use them for generations.
Do you build or manage commercial buildings or institutions? If so, you can try before you buy. We are so confident in our bike racks, we’d like to let you try one of our commercial Peak Racks Public racks FREE OF CHARGE—no strings attached! With our loaner program, we’ll ship you an unused bike rack to try so you can see, feel and appreciate the Peak Racks difference.
